BNP Paribas – IRB (International Retail Banking) has signed a contract with Clear2Pay to supply its clients with a future proof internet banking solution through the OPF eBanking platform.
The French banking group had been using the predecessor of the OPF eBanking solution over the past ten years, under the label BNPinet.
The OPF eBanking solution is being built on the SOA based Open Payment Framework and has been tested by more than 20 clients in an early live production environment.
The solution offers more agility, future proofing, integration with existing applications, channel agnostic capabilities and high levels of customization, claims Clear2Pay.
The first out of nine BNP Paribas subsidiaries to go live with OPF eBanking will be Algeria in first half of 2015.
Sebastien Subileau, head of deployment at BNP Paribas -International Retail Banking, said: "It goes without saying that we embarked on a thorough evaluation process when modernizing our online and mobile banking strategy. A secure and future proof solution in an environment that changes faster than anyone can imagine is of vital importance.
