PT Bank Muamalat Indonesia (BMI) has selected Gemalto’s online authentication solution in order to enhance the security of its internet banking platform.
The new technology combines Ezio eBanking Server and the Ezio Signing Token to offer end to end protection of sensitive customer data which will help the bank adhere to various government and industry specific regulations.
The new Ezio Signing Token will replace BMI’s existing SMS-based token system which is used for authentication and authorization of sensitive transactions.
The solution’s authentication server will comply with proprietary technologies and industry’s popular open standards, while supporting all types of two-factor authentication tokens such as OTP, PKI, OATH and software solutions which will facilitate easy integration with BMI legacy systems.
The server will support various form factors to provide increased flexibility in choosing the right authentication method as per specific customer needs, as well as will allow scalability.
The token will be offered to the lender’s corporate customers for making high value online transactions.
