Barclaycard is set to roll out its latest mobile point of sale (POS) solution, designed to enable SMEs take secure, on-the-spot payments to improve their cash flow and grow their business.
Dubbed as ‘Barclaycard Anywhere’, the new application will also be provided to large enterprises with mobile sales forces, enabling them to take payments rapidly and easily.

Leveraging chip and PIN technology, Barclaycard Anywhere uses a purpose-built app to accept card payments from any UK location securely.
Equipped with an advanced reporting system, Barclaycard Anywhere enables users to keep track of transactions anywhere using their mobile app or secure online portal, thereby offering instant, visual access to payments trends, sales performance and other crucial business intelligence.
Currently, the company is planning to showcase the solution at the forthcoming Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, which runs from 24 – 27 February 2014.
Barclaycard global payment acceptance managing director, Paulette Rowe, said that the company wanted to create a solution that was ideal for both SMEs and for large enterprises with mobile work forces.
