Bank of North Carolina has deployed SAS Visual Analytics that offers better report control and validation while remaining fast and easy for users.

After standardizing on SAS Analytics for reporting in 2013, the bank was planning to improve its big data visualization to slash costs by reducing the need for training and additional staff while improving user efficiency.

Leveraging SAS, the bank can better aggregate data for portfolio reporting and build more comprehensive reporting across different business lines and personnel.

Bank of North Carolina chief information officer Michael Bryan said, "With SAS Visual Analytics’ easy, drag-and-drop interface, we will be able to understand our data faster and in more detail."

The lender is also considering using SAS Visual Analytics to improve audit capabilities and predict risk trends, which will allow auditors to explore data without IT to help slice and dice the information.

SAS global financial services marketing manager David Wallace commented, "With SAS Visual Analytics, Bank of North Carolina will discover insights in its data to accelerate fact-based decisions."
