BMO Bank of Montreal has announced its plans to enhance its network of 2,200 full-service ATMs, with a new technology kit from NCR.
The new technology initiative which has Scalable Deposit Module (SDM) will provide customers with intelligent-deposit touch screens allowing multi-deposit transactions using both cash and cheques simultaneously.
The in-built image processing technique will make scanned cheques cash (bank notes) possible to be viewed on screen and printed on transaction receipts.
The new ATMs with storage capacity of 2,000 bank notes and 1,600 cheques, will begin to be installed in locations across Ontario in summer 2015.
