Bank Danamon Indonesia has come up with a new mobile banking application, dubbed D-Mobile, which is developed by Tagit and runs on Tagit’s Mobeix Platform.

D-Mobile enables customers to carry out core banking transactions such as account information queries, fund transfers and bill payments through a mobile device, offers personalization features and connection to customers’ individual social media platforms.

D-Mobile also comprises innovative features such as the SosMed D-Cash, which is the first of its kind in Indonesia, and enables users to transfer funds to both Danamon or non-Danamon customers through Facebook.

For this function, the sender and recipient have to be Facebook friends, and once the Danamon user transfers the money, the receiver need to visit an ATM and perform some simple security measures for securing approval to withdraw funds from the ATM.

The new feature, part of the lender’s Branchless Banking Initiative, aims to lessen the gap between banked and unbanked populations of the country.

Through the applications’ augmented reality feature, users can use phone camera to scan for the nearest Danamon ATM and branch.
