Banco Santander Brazil has deployed a suite of SAS fraud technologies to lower fraud losses and strengthen productivity, improve data management and operational efficiency.
The fraud management platform product suite implemented by the bank includes Fraud Network Analysis, Visual Analytics and Grid Manager.
Santander technology executive director, Fernando Diaz, said, "This year, we expect these new solutions to fuel our anti-fraud efforts and technology modernisation, generating significant reduction of losses and gains in efficiency and productivity.
"The bank’s objective is to significantly reduce fraud in three areas – credit card, current account and loan – with Fraud Network Analysis. We can also hope to improve efficiency when creating new retail credit policies and models."
SAS Visual Analytics offers a point-and-click environment to explore data graphically, while SAS Grid Manager delivers a shared, managed analytics environment with workload balancing, high availability and parallel processing.
The lender, which aims to increase processing efficiency data analysis, data visualisation and better system integration, said that it selected SAS due to its loyalty, flexibility and project time frames.
