
Spanish banking institution Banco Sabadell has engaged DXC Technology to advance the accessibility of its digital offerings.
The agreement stipulates that DXC will oversee the creation and execution of a new testing framework that utilises a combination of manual testing, automation, and AI-driven analysis to detect and address accessibility challenges across the bank’s digital platforms.
The initiative aligns with the bank’s strategy to enhance the user experience for its 12 million customers in Spain.
Banco Sabadell operations and technology general director Elena Carrera said: “At Banco Sabadell, we are committed to creating a digital environment that is accessible to everyone.
“Our collaboration with DXC enables us to ensure our digital services are inclusive and usable by all groups, including people with disabilities.”
By focusing on accessibility, the bank aims to decrease user drop-off rates, boost customer satisfaction, and facilitate greater autonomy in digital interactions.

By GlobalDataThe project is being coordinated by the Technology Competence Center at Banco Sabadell in Alicante, with DXC providing an annual total of 350,000 hours dedicated to advanced testing.
In partnership, DXC and Banco Sabadell have established a methodology that integrates accessibility testing throughout the product development process.
This includes a real-time monitoring system designed to evaluate issues based on their impact on the business and to offer practical recommendations for resolution.
The strategy aims to ensure adherence to accessibility standards mandated by Spanish and EU regulations, thereby supporting the bank in fulfilling its regulatory responsibilities and broader inclusion aims.
Furthermore, the initiative is anticipated to enhance the efficiency of software development and maintenance activities.
