Indian private sector lender Axis Bank has launched a new seamless, paperless online outward remittance facility for customers in over 100 currencies and across 150 countries.

The remittance service enables customers to make faster online outward remittances to accounts held with various other correspondent banks.

The bank said that its outward remittance facility will provide customers the ease and option to initiate transfers through Axis Bank in additional 88 currencies bringing the total to 101 currencies.

Axis Bank president treasury, business banking & capital markets Sidharth Rath said: "We believe that this facility will empower our customers to transfer money to as many as 150 countries from the comfort of their home or office.

"The service also offers greater transparency as the exchange rates are displayed upfront to the customer before initiating the remittance. Altogether, this offering will simplify outward remittance service for our customers and enrich their experience of banking with us."
