India-based private sector bank Axis Bank has rolled out its RuPay Platinum debit card in collaboration with the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI).
The new cardholders can get additional premium features such as insurance cover of INR200,000 ($3,006.50) and access to lounge facilities across 31 airports in India.
Additionally, the cardholders can avail cashback offers on IRCTC bookings and fuel surcharge waivers.
The lender has introduced two variants of the RuPay card, including RuPay Classic and Rupay Platinum for its NRO segment.
Axis Bank group executive and head of retail banking Rajiv Anand said: "We are currently the fifth largest issuer of debit cards in the country.
"The launch of the RuPay Platinum card further reinforces our commitment to improving customer experience by offering innovative products that provide added convenience and security."
