Euronet Software Solutions, a division of Euronet Worldwide, has partnered with Aruba Bank to deploy its EMV chip card acquiring solution, providing EMV acceptance functionality at the bank’s ATMs and POS devices.

The move is followed by the implementation of EMV debit card issuing functionality by the lender.

Euronet said that with fully implemented EMV issuing and acquiring, the bank is now in a position to usher in a range of product offerings such as prepaid, contactless and instant issue chip-based cards.

Aruba has a large presence of international customers. The ability to support chip cards is an important distinction, since many of these customers travel to countries where EMV chip cards are required.

Euronet Worldwide vice president and Euronet Software Solutions managing director Cindy Ashcraft said: "Aruba Bank believes that building a reputation of reliability is about more than assuring that all of the Bank’s electronic services are operational and available.
