The e-launching of the branches in 23 zones of the bank marks the completion of the 90th anniversary of the bank.

The Nextgen retail branches are equipped with fully automatic machines in the front desk, including self-service passbook printers and ATM, which also offer routine business transactions 24X7.

Account holders can deposit and withdraw cash without additional help of the bank staff, under transaction banking zone, which is part of the model.

Andhra Bank executive director SK Kalra told Business Standard: "We have been receiving positive feedback from these branches. The lead time for sanctioning a consumer loan has been reduced to two days from 8-10 days earlier at the Nextgen branches."

Andhra Bank, which has a network of over 1,400 branches across the country, wish to transform at least 250 existing branches under this initiative by the end of this financial year..
