Malaysia’s AmBank Group has selected Germany-based Software AG’s webMethods middleware solution to digitise its retail banking business.
The platform will enable the lender to build a single cohesive infrastructure that can simplify maintenance and enhance time-to-market, with the capability to reuse the services built, the German software company said in a statement.
To drive the implementation, AmBank worked closely with Software AG Global Consulting Services (GCS).
AmBank Group chief information officer Charles Tan said the group has successfully launched its transformational core banking solution with the Software AG solution as the Integration platform, which now delivers a solid foundation to achieve the agility, flexibility and long term growth of the bank.
"Transforming our core banking system was critical to achieve the agility, flexibility and long term growth of the bank. We looked to Software AG as the global market leader in application integration," Tan added.
