The industry’s overall hiring increased by 70.42% in December 2021 when compared with November 2021. Out of the banking and payments industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 17.11% share in December 2021, recording an increase of 0.19% over the last three-month average share.

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100.45% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Belgium’s banking and payments industry in December 2021. 1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 59.41% in December 2021, registering a 170.1% growth over the previous month. 2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 28.34% share, an increase of 1983.33% over the previous month. 3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 4.54%, registering a 4.76% decline from November 2021. 4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 4.54%, up 11.11% over the previous month.
Top five banking and payments companies in Belgium’s IT recruitment activity in December 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 206.57% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Belgium’s banking and payments industry during December 2021 over November 2021. KBC Ancora posted 208 IT jobs in December 2021 and registered a rise of 550% over the previous month, followed by KBC Group with 170 jobs and an 84.78% growth. ING Group with 20 IT jobs and BNP Paribas with 12 jobs, recorded a 400% growth and a 200% growth, respectively, while Euroclear Holding recorded an increase of 100% with 10 job postings during December 2021.
