The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 45.22% in October 2021 when compared with September 2021.

IT jobs claimed a 31.58% share in the company’s total hiring activity in October 2021, and recorded a 0.98% decline over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Barclays IT hiring in October 2021
Out of the total IT job titles posted by Barclays, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 76.15% in October 2021, and a 60.82% rise over September 2021, while Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a share of 13.78% in October 2021, and registered growth of 47.17%. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 6.8% in October 2021, a 102.63% rise from September 2021.

Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global banking and payments IT hiring activity in October 2021 with a 48.59% share, which marked a 16.03% rise over the previous month.
Europe stood next with 37.99%, registering a 154.44% month-on-month growth. North America was the third leading region with a 12.9% share and a 204.17% rise over September 2021.
In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 0.53% and a month-on-month flat growth.
India commanded a leading presence in the region’s banking and payments industry IT hiring activity with a 47.97% share in October 2021, a 28.67% growth over September 2021. The UK featured next with a 37.28% share, up 160.49% over the previous month. US recorded a 12.72% share, an increase of 200% compared with September 2021.
Junior Level jobs lead Barclays IT hiring activity in October 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 69.52%, up by 56.46% from September 2021. Mid Level positions with a 22.61% share, a growth of 67.32% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 6.63% share, up 150% over September 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 1.24%, recording a month-on-month increase of 180%.
