The value marked a decrease of 67.8% over the previous month of $2.48bn and a drop of 66.9% when compared with the last 12-month average of $2.41bn.
The UK held a 5.19% share of the global financial services industry M&A deal value that totalled $15.37bn in April 2021.
In terms of M&A deal activity, the UK recorded 28 deals during April 2021, marking a decrease of 36.36% over the previous month and a rise of 7.69% over the 12-month average.
