The value marked a flat growth over the previous month of $1.3bn and a drop of 25.3% when compared with the last 12-month average of $1.74bn.

The UK held an 11.43% share of the global financial services industry M&A deal value that totalled $11.37bn in July 2021.

In terms of M&A deal activity, the UK recorded 29 deals during July 2021, marking an increase of 45.00% over the previous month and a rise of 20.83% over the 12-month average.
