The value marked an increase of 22.1% over the previous month of $28.35bn and a rise of 38% when compared with the last 12-month average of $25.08bn.
In terms of number of deals, the sector saw a rise of 29.30% with 406 deals in March 2021 when compared to the last 12-month average of 314 deals.
In value terms, North America led the activity with deals worth $23.56bn in March 2021.
