Pennsylvania-based New Cumberland Federal Credit Union (NCFCU) has deployed a new core processing solution, Episys, developed by Symitar, a division of Jack Henry & Associates.

Episys is a data processing system, with assets ranging over $50m, which includes nearly 40% of all US credit unions with assets of $1bn or greater.

The platform offers five main advantages over competing systems including functionality, flexibility, connectivity, stability and community.

Currently, over 600 credit unions use the Episys platform for their data processing requirements. The Episys team meets the needs of credit unions ranging in assets from $3m to $10bn.

NCFCU CEO, Donald Varner, said they focused on finding a feature-rich, reliable core system; a contemporary eServices solution for home and mobile banking; superior and consistent customer service; and a solid, reputable, financially stable company.

"Episys is the flexible, highly scalable solution that will seamlessly support our growth and we are extremely comfortable and confident about doing business with Symitar," Varner added.
