US-based digital payment and banking technology provider i2c has forged a partnership with consumer financing platform Jifiti to streamline lending for European merchants, banks, and lenders.

Under this partnership, Jifiti will launch a mobile consumer finance programme in France with support of i2c’s platform.

The programme will be rolled out to an unnamed major furniture retailer in the country.

It will provide customers with an option to apply for a loan using their smartphone or via online while shopping with this furniture brand.

The programme will instantly offer a virtual card upon signing up, for enabling seamless online or in-store checkout.

Jifiti can finance the loan through its preferred partner bank, while the authorisation process will be done through i2c’s partnership with Mastercard.

Jifiti co-founder and CEO Yaacov Martin said: “We are thrilled to partner with i2c, a market-leader in reliability with key in-region partnerships and technology to support the vision and scale of our initiative.

“i2c’s commitment to delivering best-in-class solutions with their flexible and robust platform allows us to elevate the point-of-sale experience for both merchants and end-users alike.”

i2c will leverage its global payments platform to allow Jifiti to roll out new solutions for merchants, lenders, and customers.

i2c EU general manager Jonathan Vaux said: “Jifiti is innovating and supporting global retail brands in such novel ways, and we are excited to have the opportunity to help them achieve their vision and accelerate time-to-market through our modular processing solutions.

“Our partnership with Mastercard’s European network allows Jifiti to focus on their core product, without sacrificing the ability to scale.”

In November last year, i2c partnered with fintech firm Purewrist to deliver wearable solutions to enable contactless payments at events, retail stores, transit and more.
